# Discourse Integration

> Connect BuildBetter with Discourse to import forum topics and replies as customer conversations

Connect BuildBetter with Discourse to capture insights from your community forum discussions, feature requests, and support threads.

## Overview

The Discourse integration can:

* Import topics and replies from Discourse forums
* Scope imports by categories and tags
* Track feature requests and bug reports
* Analyze community sentiment and engagement
* Identify trending topics and pain points
* Link forum feedback to product roadmap

Discourse imports focus on public visible posts and support backfills that can continue more reliably after setup or sync interruptions.

## Setup

1. Go to **Settings → Integrations**.
2. Select **Discourse** from Social & Community integrations.
3. Add your Discourse site details and credentials.
4. Choose categories and tags to include.
5. Preview the scope, then start the sync or backfill.

## What Gets Imported

* Forum topics and replies
* Author and timestamp context when available
* Category and tag context for filtering
* Source links back to Discourse
