# HIPAA Compliance Policy Summary

## 📌 Overview

Build Better, Inc. is committed to maintaining the **confidentiality, integrity, availability, and privacy** of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and vendors with access to PHI.

## 🔐 Core Commitments

* Comply with **HIPAA** and **HITECH Act** requirements.
* Protect PHI via technical, physical, and administrative safeguards.
* Limit access to PHI to only those with a **need-to-know** basis.
* Encrypt PHI at rest and in transit.
* Train personnel on HIPAA and PHI responsibilities.
* Securely dispose of paper and electronic PHI.
* Notify affected parties of reportable incidents under HIPAA Breach Notification Rule.
