🗃️ Retention Policy

Build Better, Inc. retains customer data only as long as necessary to fulfill a business, contractual, legal, or regulatory obligation on behalf of the customer.
🔁 Once the customer terminates their account or requests deletion, data is no longer required to fulfill any business obligation for that customer — and is therefore deleted.
  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is deleted or de-identified once it no longer has an active business purpose.
  • Specific retention timelines vary by data type and system (see the Retention Matrix in the full policy).

✅ Account Cancellation & Deletion

When a customer cancels their account or requests deletion, Build Better, Inc. automatically deletes all associated data within 60 days.
  • Manual deletion is performed across systems.
  • If required by law or contract, some data may be retained beyond this period.

🔐 Secure Disposal

  • Confidential and restricted data is always securely deleted.
  • Paper records are shredded; digital devices are wiped or physically destroyed.
  • Certified e-waste partners are used when necessary, and certificates are retained for one year.
