Your user account settings allow you to manage your personal information, notification preferences, and connected applications.

Profile

Your profile settings control how you appear to other users in your workspace.

Name

You can update your first and last name at any time. Changes are saved automatically as you type.

Avatar

Upload a profile picture to help your team members identify you. Click “Upload Image” to select a file from your computer.

Notifications

You can control which email notifications you receive from BuildBetter. All notification types are ON by default for new users, but you can turn them off at any time in your user settings.

Call Summary Emails

Default: ON. Receive an email summary after a call you attended is processed. How to turn off: Toggle “Call Summary Emails” in your user settings. Note: If you turn this off, you will not receive summaries, but other users with it ON will still get their own.

Call Pre-consent Emails

Default: ON. Sends an email to participants 24 hours before a scheduled call, requesting consent for recording. How to turn off: Toggle “Call Pre-consent Emails” in your user settings. Note: If you turn this off, you will not send or receive these emails for calls you organize, but other organizers with it ON will still trigger consent emails.

External Call Summary Emails

Default: ON. Receive summaries for external calls (calls with external participants). How to turn off: Toggle “External Call Summary Emails” in your user or org settings (if available). Note: If you turn this off, you will not receive these emails, but others in your org may still get them if their toggle is ON.

Weekly Cluster Trend Report

Default: ON. Receive a weekly email with trending clusters and insights from your organization’s data. How to turn off: Toggle “Weekly Cluster Trend Report” in your user settings. Note: If you turn this off, you will not receive the report, but others in your org may still get it if their toggle is ON.
You will continue to receive notifications unless you explicitly turn them off. During onboarding, you can disable any notification type. If other people at your organization still have a notification ON, they may still receive it even if you have turned it off for yourself.

Privacy

You can set a default privacy level for all calls that you host. This setting determines who can access your recordings.

Workspace

By default, all members of your workspace can view the recording.

Participants

By default, only people who were invited to the meeting can view the recording.
You can always change the privacy level for individual calls after they have been recorded. If you are not the host of a call, the privacy level will be determined by the host’s settings.

You can connect your calendar and meeting platforms to BuildBetter to automate call recording.

Record Scheduled Calls

Connect your Google or Outlook calendar to automatically record scheduled meetings. BuildBetter will record meetings that have a meeting link and more than one attendee.
  • Supported Platforms: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex
  • Configuration: You can connect and disconnect your Google and Outlook calendars at any time. You can also configure Bot Recording Rules to exclude specific meetings from being recorded.

Auto-Record Ad-Hoc Self-Hosted Calls

Enable this feature to automatically record unscheduled meetings that you host.
  • Supported Platforms: Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams
  • Configuration: A master switch allows you to enable or disable this feature. You can also connect or disconnect each platform individually.
