Getting Started with BuildBetter
Welcome to BuildBetter! Follow these steps to quickly set up and start benefiting from our platform.
0. Install the BuildBetter Desktop & Mobile Apps (Recommended)
Get started faster with our native apps for recording and easy access.
Download Mac App
Download the latest version from buildbetter.ai/download.
Install Mac App
Open the downloaded .dmg
file from your Downloads folder. Drag the Build Better application into your Applications folder.
Launch & Login (Mac)
Open Build Better from your Applications folder and sign up or log in to your account.
Install iOS App (Optional)
For recording on the go, install our iOS app via TestFlight. See iOS App Setup for details. (TestFlight Link)
1. Set Up Your Workspace
Create Workspace
Use the workspace selector (top-left). Free users get 1 workspace, while paid accounts support unlimited workspaces.
Invite Team Members
Click Invite to add team members by email or invitation link.
Configure Key Integrations
Connect your essential tools. Navigate to Settings → Integrations in the app, or explore the docs:
2. Custom Context
Custom Context helps BuildBetter personalize every insight and response.
- Go to Settings → Custom Context in the app.
- Add detailed info about your company, products, competitors, goals, and KPIs.
3. Record Calls
Learn how to record or upload your calls:

Click Join in the app, paste meeting link/password, and manually admit the BuildBetter bot.
Upload audio/video files or meeting notes directly. See Recording Methods.
Manually assign speakers after upload to generate signals and documents. See Speaker Assignment.
