Prerequisites

Browser Requirements

Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge (latest versions)

Data to Analyze

Any conversation data: Meeting recordings, support tickets, Slack messages, or CSV files
You don’t need call recordings to use BuildBetter! You can start with:
  • Support tickets from Intercom, Zendesk, or Kustomer
  • Slack conversations or Microsoft Teams chats
  • CSV files with any text-based feedback
  • Existing recordings from Gong, Chorus, or similar platforms
  • CRM activity data from Salesforce or HubSpot

Create Your Account

Sign up at app.buildbetter.app or buildbetter.ai/signup with your work email

Create Your Workspace

Name your workspace (e.g., your company name). Free users get 1 workspace, paid plans support unlimited.

Add Custom Context

Navigate to Settings → Custom Context and add:
  • Company description
  • Product/service details
  • Target customers
  • Key competitors
  • Important terminology

Open the .dmg file and drag BuildBetter to your Applications folder

By default, BuildBetter joins all meetings. To be selective:
  • Platform Integration: Turn off auto-record in platform settings
  • Calendar Integration: Add Recording Rules:
    • Keywords in title (e.g., “customer”, “demo”)
    • Specific attendees
    • Meeting duration thresholds

Bot Joins Automatically

BuildBetter bot will join your next scheduled meeting based on your settings
The bot introduces itself and asks for consent. You can remove it anytime by clicking “Remove Bot” in the meeting.
