BuildBetter MCP Server

The BuildBetter MCP Server lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT securely access your BuildBetter data — your calls, customer signals, contacts, and more. Just connect and sign in with your BuildBetter account. No API keys or local setup required. SSO-first sign-in routes work emails to the right identity provider automatically.

What Can You Do With It?

Once connected, you can ask your AI assistant questions about your BuildBetter data in plain language:
  • “Show me all customer issues from the last week”
  • “Summarize feedback from Acme Corp”
  • “What feature requests came up this month?”
  • “Which customers mentioned competitors recently?”
  • “Show me Inbox items that are ready to promote”
  • “Find Linear issues related to onboarding and prepare the ones that need approval”
Your assistant handles the data fetching behind the scenes — you just ask questions.

Product Ops Capabilities

The MCP server includes tools for product-ops workflows across Projects Hub, Inbox, folders, Linear, and signal search. Depending on your permissions, an MCP client can:
  • View projects, project details, and related evidence
  • Review Inbox items, backlog counts, folders, and folder details
  • Discover Linear issues that match product work
  • Search signals with natural-language queries
  • Request approval before promoting Inbox items or selected Linear tickets into Projects Hub projects
Approval-based actions follow BuildBetter permissions. Your assistant can prepare an action, but promotion-style changes require explicit approval where the client supports it.
