Setup Instructions
Access Calendar Settings
Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Calendar in your BuildBetter dashboard
Select Google Calendar
Click the “Connect Google Calendar” button
Authorize BuildBetter
Sign in to your Google account and approve the required permissions
Select Calendars
Choose which calendars BuildBetter should monitor for meetings
Configure Recording Rules
Set up rules for which meetings should be automatically recorded
BuildBetter requires calendar read access to identify meetings but does not modify your calendar events.
Access Calendar Settings
Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Calendar in your BuildBetter dashboard
Select Google Calendar
Click the “Connect Google Calendar” button
Authorize BuildBetter
Sign in to your Google account and approve the required permissions

Choose which calendars BuildBetter should monitor for meetings

For Enterprise environments, your IT administrator may need to approve the BuildBetter app in your Microsoft tenant.
Access Calendar Settings
Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Calendar in your BuildBetter dashboard
Select iCal Option
Click the “Connect iCal Feed” button
Provide iCal URL
Enter the iCal/ICS feed URL from your calendar system
Configure Recording Rules
Set up rules for which meetings should be automatically recorded
iCal feeds may have limited refresh rates. For best results, use Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook integration.
Meeting Detection
Once your calendar is connected, BuildBetter will:
- Scan for upcoming meetings
- Identify meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet)
- Prepare to join meetings based on your recording rules
- Notify you of scheduled recordings
Meeting links are automatically detected from calendar event details. Ensure your meeting invites include the conferencing links for optimal performance.
