Setup Instructions
Prerequisites
- An active BuildBetter account
- A Mixpanel project with API credentials
- Admin access in both platforms
Connecting Your Account
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations in your BuildBetter dashboard
- Find and select Mixpanel from the analytics integrations
- Enter your Mixpanel Project Token and API Secret
- Configure which events to track (or select “Track All”)
- Click Connect to activate the integration
Setting Up Event Tracking
After connecting:- Go to the Event Configuration tab in the Mixpanel integration settings
- Choose which BuildBetter events to track:
- User sign-ins
- Call recordings
- Summary generation
- Document creation
- Chat interactions
- Custom events
- Save your configuration
Usage
Tracked Events
The integration automatically sends these events to Mixpanel:Event | Description |

The following user properties are synced to Mixpanel:- User ID
- Name
- Organization
- Role
- Sign-up date
- Subscription status
- Last active date

With BuildBetter data in Mixpanel, you can:- Create custom funnels to track user journeys
- Build retention reports to measure ongoing engagement
- Set up cohort analysis to compare user groups
- Create dashboards for key BuildBetter metrics
Troubleshooting
Events Not Appearing
- Verify your Project Token is correct
- Check that the events are enabled in your configuration
