How the Google Meet Integration Works

When a team member records a call in Google Meet, the recording is sent to BuildBetter. In BuildBetter you’ll find a new piece of feedback with: the meeting title, call transcript, meeting summary and product summary.

Setup Guide

Prerequisites

  1. Google Workspace Requirements:
    • Google Workspace account (Business Standard or higher recommended)
    • Admin access for organization-wide setup
    • Meeting creation permissions
  2. BuildBetter Requirements:
    • Active BuildBetter account
    • Admin privileges for integration setup

Quick Setup

  1. Connect Google Calendar
    • Go to BuildBetter’s settings and select the integrations tab
    • Click “Add new” and choose Call recordings
    • Log in to your Google Calendar account and authorize the integration
  2. Configure Recording Settings
    • In BuildBetter, navigate to your personal settings
    • Define the meetings you want to record (all meetings, specific participants, etc.)
    • Set up automatic tagging and categorization rules
  3. Test Integration
    • Schedule a test Google Meet
    • Verify BuildBetter joins and records
    • Check transcript and signal generation

  • Automatic: BuildBetter detects Google Meet links in your calendar
  • Manual: Add #record tag in meeting description or title
