How the Salesloft Integration Works

BuildBetter connects to Salesloft via API to import call recordings. You can run a full batch import of historical calls or set up incremental sync to automatically import new calls as they’re recorded. Setup Guide

Prerequisites

  1. Salesloft Requirements:
    • Active Salesloft account with Conversations enabled
    • Admin access for API configuration
  2. BuildBetter Requirements:
    • Active BuildBetter account
    • Admin privileges for integration setup

Quick Setup

Navigate to Integrations

Go to Settings > Integrations in BuildBetter

Connect Salesloft

Find Salesloft in the integration list and click Connect. Authenticate with your Salesloft credentials.

Configure Import Settings

Choose your import method:
  • Full Import: Import all historical call recordings
  • Incremental Sync: Import new calls automatically going forward

Start Import

Click Import to begin syncing your Salesloft calls. Monitor progress in the integration settings.

Imported Data

When calls are imported from Salesloft, the following data is preserved:
  • Call Recording: Audio or video file
  • Transcript: Full transcript with speaker identification
  • Participants: Names, emails, and roles for each participant
  • Call Metadata: Title, date/time, duration, and call type
  • Source Label: Imported calls display the Salesloft icon for easy identification

Viewing Imported Calls

  1. Navigate to the Calls section in BuildBetter
  2. Calls imported from Salesloft show the Salesloft icon as their source
  3. Filter by source to see only Salesloft calls
  4. All standard BuildBetter features work with imported calls:
    • Signal extraction
    • Search across transcripts
    • Document generation
    • Sharing and collaboration

Analysis Features

Once imported, Salesloft calls are processed through BuildBetter’s full analysis pipeline:
  • Signal Extraction: Automatically detect feature requests, bugs, objections, and custom signal types
  • Summaries: Generate AI summaries of calls
  • Documents: Create PRDs, meeting notes, or custom documents from call content
  • Clustering: Include Salesloft call data in your analytics dashboards

Limitations

  • One-Way Import Only: Calls are imported from Salesloft to BuildBetter. Changes in BuildBetter do not sync back.
  • Conversations Required: Your Salesloft plan must include the Conversations feature for call recording import.
