How the Fathom Integration Works

When a team member tags a call in Fathom, feedback is sent directly to BuildBetter. You can choose to send entire call transcripts or specific excerpts, using custom properties to categorize feedback effectively. This integration also pulls in relevant company information from Fathom, providing comprehensive context for each feedback item.

Prerequisites

  1. Fathom Account Requirements:
    • Admin access to connect integrations
    • API access enabled
    • Appropriate user permissions
  2. BuildBetter Requirements:
    • Active BuildBetter account
    • Admin privileges

Quick Setup

  1. Connect Fathom
    • Go to Settings > Integrations in BuildBetter
    • Click “Add new” and choose Fathom
    • Log in to your Fathom account and authorize the integration
  2. Configure Settings
    • Specify what feedback to send and how to categorize it
    • Choose which recordings to sync (all or tagged only)
    • Set up meta-data mapping
    • Configure user matching
  3. Activate the Integration
    • Click “Activate”
    • BuildBetter will start importing Fathom call data for streamlined feedback management
