Availability depends on your workspace and the production rollout. If Zoom Cloud Recording is not visible, contact support@buildbetter.app.
Before you connect
You need:- A BuildBetter workspace and permission to manage its integrations.
- A Zoom account with cloud recording enabled.
- A Zoom account administrator who can authorize account-level access.
- At least one completed cloud recording to test the import.
Connect
- Open BuildBetter Settings > Integrations.
- Select Zoom Cloud Recording, not the existing Zoom meeting integration.
- Start the connection flow.
- Sign in to Zoom as an account administrator.
- Review the requested account-user and cloud-recording read permissions.
- Authorize the app and return to BuildBetter.
Choose what to import
Open the connection settings. Choose the available history window and recording filters, then save the settings and enable the connection. BuildBetter imports eligible completed cloud recordings asynchronously. Selection uses the connection’s import filters. You do not need to download and upload each file yourself. Zoom must finish processing the recording before BuildBetter can retrieve its completed media. Arecording.completed event can trigger import work. Scheduled syncs also check for eligible recordings.
Verify an import
- Create a short Zoom cloud recording in the connected account.
- Wait for Zoom to finish processing it.
- Open the imported recording in BuildBetter.
- Check the title, meeting date, and host.
- Play the media.
- Check the transcript after processing finishes.
Disconnect and remove access
- Open the connection in BuildBetter Settings > Integrations.
- Disconnect the connection.
- To revoke the Zoom authorization, open Zoom App Marketplace.
- Find the app under your added or installed apps and remove it.
Troubleshooting
The integration is not visible
Confirm that you have permission to manage integrations. Contact support to check availability for your workspace. No recording appears
- Confirm that the recording is stored in Zoom Cloud, not only on a local computer.
- Confirm that Zoom has finished processing it.
- Check that it belongs to the connected Zoom account.
- Check the history window and import filters.
- Check the connection status and Zoom permissions.
- Allow time for queued work. Zoom rate limits or temporary outages can delay imports.
